Proposed Evaluation of Abram Hindle for CSC499

Evaluation of Abram's Unix Sound System project should be based on performance and meeting milestones. Of course it is expected as the project progresses some negotiating or changing of schedule might take place.

September 30th Milestone: Requirements Analysis and Design and API documentation completed.
Oct 16th Milestone: Progress is reviewed on Socket Connector & Config Manager, either one should be finished or both at least 1/2 developed.
Nov 1st Milestone: Socket Connector & Configuration Manager Implemented and Completed. Demuxer and Muxer exist in some form.
Nov 15th Milestone: AUSS Lib completed for at least 1 language
Dec 1st Milestone: AUSS Lib, Pipe Splitter and User Manual Completed
Dec 13th Milestone: Reference Documentation and Example Programs completed. A demo of the system will be presented

Proposed Grading:

A+:
- Connector and Configurator,
- Requirements and Design Doc,
- API,
- User Manual / User Reference,
- Developer Reference,
- AUSS Lib in at least 2 languages,
- Pipe Splitter
- Muxer Demuxer
- Sample programs
- Documentation is relevant and of a reasonable quality.
- 6/6 Milestones.
A:
- Similar to A+, possibly less lower priority features
- 5/6 Milestones.
A-:
- 4/6 Milestones.
B+:
- 3/6 Milestones.

Fail:
- An obvious lack of effort in finishing the project would result in failure.
